Here are some ideas for last minute treats that are sure to be a spook-tacular addition to your Halloween celebrations. And they are all made with
MARSHMALLOWS!
Marshmallow Frankie:
Melt green colored candy discs (Wilton brand is available at craft and cake stores) in a double boiler. Insert a large toothpick into one end of a large marshmallow. Dip the marshmallow in the melted chocolate to coat. Immediately dip the top of the chocolate covered marshmallow in chocolate sprinkles (Frankie's hair) and add cinnamon red hot eyes (or M&M minis). Finally, cut a tootsie roll into small pieces and attach the bolts to Frankie's neck with a dab of melted chocolate.When chocolate has set, using black decorating gel to add a mouth. These treats can be served as cupcake toppers or on their own - maybe even displayed in a pumpkin!
Mummy marshmallows:
Insert a large toothpick into two large marshmallows so that they are attached together with the pick. "Wrap the mummy" with Fruit by the Foot snack. Add eyes with decorating gel.
Kandy Korn Ka-bobs:
On a toothpick, layer a piece of pineapple, a mandarin orange slice and a mini marshmallow. These colorful fruit ka-bobs look like the favorite candy of the season - candy corn!
Marshmallow Apple Dip:
Mix 1 8 oz. package of cream cheese with a full jar of marshmallow fluff using a hand mixer. If desired, add 1/2 cup peanut butter and/or a 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping. Slice Granny Smith apples and dip into mixture!
