Posts: 15 09/01/09 00:58:42	Tags : None I am almost 6 weeks pregnant and have had a pink tinge when I have gone to the restroom. It happened about 2am yesterday morning and then nothing all day. Now, it happened again tonight. I went to the ER yesterday about it. They did no tests other than a urinalysis... Then sent me home telling me to rest today which I did.. They said there was nothing they could tell me because they weren't real sure what was happening. I've had no cramps and the spotting isn't even enough to need a pad. I've been pregnant 2 times before and this has never happened. I can't even get into my first Dr appointment for another 2 weeks. I'm worried and wonder if anyone else has had the same thing happen to them...

Posts: 4280 09/01/09 06:35:29	Hi wwedin, Welcome to PH! Congrats on your pregnancy. I have heard of women spotting before while pregnant. Sometimes there will be spotting after intimacy. Could that be a factor here? Even though you can't get in to see your doctor, you could still call them and tell them what is going on and see what advice they give you. Most likely they will tell you to rest. From what I understand spotting without cramping is okay, but give your doctor a call anyway just for peace of mind. Most likely you'll be able to speak with a nurse who will have some professional advice. I hope you will make yourself at home here. We're always glad to make a new friend. Posts: 2135 09/01/09 06:57:40	wwedin, What a difficult situation to be in. Early pregnancy can be difficult to offer emergency aid to, that is true. In many cases a sonogram won't even help. If you see any bright red blood or bleed a lot, head right to the ER again. Especially if you have pain. Otherwise, early spotting can be really common and harmless. Welcome to parenthood.com. Posts: 2 09/17/09 13:31:58	I am now 8 wks. I went to the hospital for bleeding on a friday and they told me I had a threatened misscarriage. Call the doctor on monday and they should get you in to check you out. Still, I have not heard from the Dr's office and it it Thursday afternoon. I am not so much bleeding anymore but I am spotting and it is coming and going with mild cramps. I don't know what to do because this is my first pregnancy and the Dr's won't call me back.

They need to ethically treat you differently when they know you are very upset ... even though they may not be actually able to treat the early pg itself. Welcome to parenthood.com! For sure I'd be calling the doctor every day until he called back or at least let you speak to a nurse. Today being Friday before the weekend, I would call all day until I got to speak with some one. Have you called and asked for a nurse? Nurses can be so helpful. Good luck and please let us know. Posts: 2 09/23/09 12:28:14	I finally got into the Dr on Friday..... She is new in our town but I feel pretty comfortable with her..... She calmed me down and I got to see my lil' peanut and (her!!!!) heartbeat.. Taking it easy for now until the first trimester leap is over. Thank you all for being helpful!
