My question is similar to yzzil21. I am 6 weeks along with my third child and after having "relations" with my husband I started bleeding.(no
cramping or pains) It lasted only briefly but I was wondering if this was common/normal.

I can tell you what the doc told me after my hours of freaking out! They said that unless it is bright red blood lasting for a long period of time or you are
doubled over in pain that it is ok. They also said that "pelvic rest" for a week would be a great idea. Sounds like you are ok, but if you are
concerned its best to call your OB.

I agree, just as some bleeding can occur after an internal exam, the same can happen after intimacy. If it doesn't stop fairly quickly or gets worse, call
your doc.
