This one worked pretty well, I adapted it from a recipe I saw in a book. I need recipes that can go a full 9-10 hours because I am gone from home that long.
Also, I have an "onion picky person" who likes the flavor but not onion itself.
10 Hour Cranberry Chicken
4 lbs. FROZEN chicken
16 oz can CHILLED (or opened and frozen) whole cranberry sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 cup CHILLED (or frozen) bbq sauce
1/2 onion (left unchopped)
1 stalk celery (left unchopped)
Set ingredients in crock pot in order. Balance the frozen sauces on top of the chicken or just spread the chilled sauce over the chicken. Cook on low 10 hours. Remove the onion and celery stalk. Layer chicken pieces in a glass pan. Pour remaining broth into a sauce pan and reduce by 1/2 to 3/4. Serve over the chicken.
