Corn is soooo yummy at BBQ's!!! If your bbq isn't too big that you need to boil it in a turkey fryer for a mass... try this.
Take fresh corn and peel back the husks gently, removing only the lasrgest husks, leaving the smaller to medium ones attached. Remove all the corn stringies. BBQ the corn on your grill with the corn tucked safely inside of the husks, 15 minutes on medium? Keep a water sprayer on hand to douse corn every so often with mist so that the husks do not burn. About 3-5 minutes before corn is done, use an oven safe pair of mitts and pull the husks back, creating a handle and allowing corn to go back on the grill to take just a few minutes of direct grill heat. Leave the husks on and plate the corn.
Serve with a bar of cayenne pepper, salt, spray butter, garlic powder and PARMESAN.
I've tried so many ways to do this including soaking the corn, adding oil (which drips and flames)... salt, etc. I don't find any of those tricks necessary. Simple is best in this case.
