The little girl doesn't even know him, she was 2 months old when he last saw her and the mother was being difficult from the start. She says she "doesn't object to access in principal, but she is worried about his mental health" referring to the fact that she denies all knowledge of his allegations, any disputes that he brings up and the fact that when he gets stressed he waves his arms around (not in a threatening way - just sort of around his head and shoulders) and she says that she was scared he was going to hurt her (complete rubbish considering she is still antagonising him constantly)
Apparently, even when the S7 is complete the mother can claim "This is a stranger to my child" which will complicate things further.

We're going to call his solicitor on Monday to arrange an appointment and see what can be done (The solicitor has been on holiday) and to see about correcting some things that CAFCASS got wrong and raise the fact that while the mother was seen immediately, my OH was shifted back twice due to compassionate leave, illness on the CAFFCASS lady's part and his statement was only partially taken and finished two working days before the report was submitted.

Essentially, the only reasin that the mother has the better chance at the moment is because she took the little girl from the hospital . If my OH had gone to the hospital, taken his daughter to the registary office to put himself on the birth certificate and taken her home then HE would have the rights. The mother didn't even tell him that his daughter had been born, let alone which hospital she was in. The legal system sucks.
