Posts: 7 06/19/09 09:17:44	Are you sure it`s just not he chooses not to talk? my almost 2 yr old is that way sometimes i`ll ask him why are you doing that he says because. or last time i took him to the doctor i asked him you ready to go to the doctor he said doctor. My sister was the same way she choose not to talk. As for doctors I had one tell me at a yr old because I don`t let him have crayons (because everything goes into the mouth) he`s going to be behind in school. Maybe he just needs more time give it 4 months and see what happens if you know he`s not def then give it time. Mothers know thier children. Go with your gut

Posts: 52 06/24/09 06:52:22	I'm not sure if I can help, but when I was a nanny a couple of years ago, the youngest had speech-therapy because he was 3 1/2 and he was still in baby-talk, kind of slurred. The speech-therapy lady said that nursery-rhymes are great because of the rhythm and rhyme and alliteration. His mum also discovered that if you said a word that he found hard (like "cloud" for instance) he would try and say it too if you said "cl cl cl cl Cloud! Cl cl cl cl Climb! Cl cl cl cl Clown!" or if you broke it down into syllables and clapped on each one (e.g. Op-ti-mus-prime, his favourite transformer ) I hope that helps and everything is going good for you Robyn AKA: West Yorkshires answer to Disneys Wicked Step Mother.......Mwahahahaha!

Posts: 1269 06/24/09 22:34:30	Update on my little man....He is still in speech therapy...since starting he has started to say more things...he counts 1,2,3 and 3,2,1...I love you, hi and bye, ready set go, and some other things but they are not enunciated. its more like un, ooh, ee. that kind of things...they are trying to find out if he is tongue tied, but on the 1st of july he is going to see a pediatric developmental delay pediatrician. he will be getting an eval that day and then we will go from there to see if he has special needs or whatever they may think....So, wish my little man luck on this day!!! Thanx guys for your suggestions!! Niki.... Mama to Indica, Malekai, and Teigan!!!! I have been smoke free for:months!!
