Something that mom and mother in law say bugs the heck out of me. I realize that I may just be being a snot about it, but there also may be others that feel the same way. When they say... How is my Maggie... How is my Margaret... I said to someone "this is MY Margaret...." and showed them her picture.
Last I checked... you weren't there for the conception or the delivery. Your granddaughter is just fine. It always bugged me when people were like that with my nephews as well, I don't know what about it bugs me so bad! Am I the only one?

She just laughs. We have the kind of relationship where she can joke with me and I can joke with her and we know there is a respect and a boundary there, though. It never bothers me to have her say, "How's my Daniel?" or "How is my Damien?"
I know that if I asked her to back off in any way she would do her best, even if it went against her nature, so I would try and
live with it first. My mum always told me "You can't really change other people, only the way you respond to them."
