Hosting is meant to be a fun volunteer job. Most of what you do is to keep the board active by starting new threads about interesting or fun topics, welcoming any new members and generally participating in the board in a leader type of position.

The host/co-host is responsible for keeping the forum active by posting interesting posts that members will respond to as well as contribute to other's posts so that they feel acknowledged and that someone is listening. Smile Posts can be personal stories, interesting articles, polls, games, pretty much anything within site guidelines.

Hosts/co-hosts are also responsible for welcoming new members to their forum because it is very important for new members to feel at home so they will come back and post often. Ideally, we would like a daily check of your forum.

We do not expect hosts/co-hosts to mediate if there is a problem on their forum. The problem may be between two disagreeing members who have gotten out of hand or perhaps an advertiser who has come for a little free plug on your forum. Should this, or any type of trouble, happen on your forum or if you even THINK that a post is questionable, you just call on a Community Coordinator and we come in and take care of it. We want your host job to be fun!! Mr. Green

Volunteer hosts are required to act with the utmost integrity and ethics. Appropriate conduct is expected at all times as well as adherence to the Parenthood.com site rules. Host status is subject to review and approval and can be rescinded at any time for any reason. When there are problems on your board requiring moderation, do not feel you have to get involved or keep the peace. Please notify a moderator so that your job remains upbeat, positive and trouble free.

Application submission acknowledges an understanding and agreement of the terms and conditions.
