Hello...anyone out there this weekend? Anyone with any fantastic plans?? Today we have my youngest daughters first b-day party...Thankfully my MIL hosted it for me...We have had six birthdays this month...I was getting worn out...LOL!

Should a 1 year old be in a preschool class with mostly 2 year olds?

My daughter is in a preschool class for the first time and there is one or two barely 1 year olds that are in the same class. My daughter plays fine but I feel it's more to the benefit of the 1 year old to be in that class than it is to the 2 (or nearly 2) year olds in there. Is it age appropriate for children with that big of an age difference to be in the same class, considering the huge developmental leaps children take during those times? Feedback is appreciated. Play in the neigborhood

I met an interesting stay-home-Dad who believe that children nowaday do not get to meet and play with the other kids in their neighborhood. Simple unstructured play. It may be wonder if this is a problem only in rich Californian area, or it is so in other parts of the country. I thought I will ask you observation and opinion:

Do your children Play with their neighbors? How do you make it safe? Do you intervene in case of conflicts? Do you think it is a good thing, or not?

Single dad needs help with preschooler

I am a single dad with a 2 and 4 year old. My boys act completely diffrent to me then they do babysitters and more importantsly, to their teachers. They listen to me and do what I ask. But at school/daycare, they do what they want and won't listen to the teachers. I talk to the kids reguarding what they did wrong, but I don't think it is helping. Please, any suggestions?

Hi.. I'm new to this forum. I was just wondering if any of you guys have ever experienced extreme abdominal pain that lasts years after having your baby. I didnt have this until after I had my 3rd child. Hes 2 1/2 years old and I'm still having these pains..they used to only happen once a month but now it seems to be every week. My stomach hurts really bad and it seems like nothing helps ..I've tried taking tylenol and soaking in the bath in hot water ..heating pad only seems to...

Potty Training Help

Hi. My son will be 3 in Nov. He started potty training at 1 1/2 and he knows where he is supposed to go to pee or poop. We trained him while he just ran around naked. And it didnt take him long to catch on. Maybe a week or two. But for the life of me I cant get him to not go in his diaper or underwear. As soon as I put a diaper on him he no longer goes to the potty in his chair. And when I ask him "where are you supposed to go potty" he points to the bathroom. But he doesnt tell me...
